The festival’s closing ceremony celebrated the best films of the 22nd edition of the International Film Festival Voda moře oceány.
The Grand Prix was awarded to the Irish film Ireland’s Wild Islands by directors John Murray and Jamie Fitzpatrick, recognised for its exceptional filmmaking and profound connection between nature, narrative and documentary craft.
The Crystal Planet Award, presented to individuals who have significantly contributed to the understanding and protection of the marine world, was awarded to South African filmmaker and diver Walter Bernardis.
The gala evening highlighted the festival’s role as a platform that connects film, science, the public and experts from around the world.
